Operations & Production Manager

Envelope1976 is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate Operations & Production Manager to oversee all aspects of our apparel production – from order placement to final delivery. This is a key role in ensuring the efficient, high-quality execution of our collections, working closely with our design and sales teams, as well as our global network of suppliers.
You will report directly to the founder and play an essential part in turning our creative vision into reality – with a strong emphasis on sustainability, precision, and quality.
Key Responsibilities
· Order Management & Supplier Communication: Prepare and manage production orders, maintain strong supplier relationships, and ensure clear communication throughout the production cycle.
· Production Planning & Execution: Oversee the entire production process, ensuring timelines, quality standards, and budget requirements are met.
· Demand Forecasting & Adjustments: Collaborate with the team to interpret sales trends and communicate production changes (upsizing, downsizing, cancellations) to suppliers.
· Costing & Pricing: Accurately input style data and calculate comprehensive pricing in our purchasing system, including landed cost, wholesale, and retail prices with all relevant cost elements.
· Financial Oversight: Manage production-related payments and prepayments.
· Logistics & Shipping Coordination: Coordinate all logistics and shipping with freight forwarders.
· Compliance: Ensure correct handling of customs codes and EAN codes.
· Trims & Packaging: Manage ordering and approvals for all trims (e.g., hangtags, care labels) and packaging.
· Post-Prototype Development: Take ownership of styles after the first prototype, managing adjustments and ensuring design integrity through to final production.
· Quality Assurance: Oversee approval of pre-production (PPS) and shipment samples to uphold high product standards.
· ESG/sustainability: Contribute actively to our sustainability efforts by supporting responsible material choices, documentation, certifications and production methods.
· Sample Coordination: Organize sample shipments for campaigns and shoots.
· Strategic Input: Offer input, aligned with the Envelope1976 brand DNA.

· Proven experience with logistic, finance and supply chain management.
· Analytical mindset and strong decision-making based on data.
· Solid financial understanding of pricing, margins, and cost structure.
· Skilled negotiator with experience managing supplier relationships.
